Diversity & Inclusion
GW President Steven Knapp launched several initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion within and beyond the university community. The results of these initiatives include the creation of the position of Vice Provost for Diversity & Inclusion and the Office of Diversity & Inclusion.
The Vice Provost provides leadership on all aspects of educational and employment equity, access, cultural understanding and competency, and human rights. The Office has expanded in recent years to include the Multicultural Student Services Center, Office of Disability Support Services, Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service, Title IX Coordination, Campus Inclusion Initiatives, and the GW Tutoring Initiative.
